Kestel-Con
☙ A Festival of Making ❧
September 6, 2025 · 10 am–10 pm

Please join us for the fourth not-at-all-annual all-day celebration of making at our house. All are welcome. There is no schedule, come and go whenever you like.
Spectating at Kestel-Con is discouraged. Bring something to make—a project in progress or an idea for a project you’ve been wanting to start. Some possibilities:
- Make something in our woodshop—we have a band saw, a scroll saw, a chop saw, a drill press, a bench sander, various hand tools, and a bunch of wood we’d like to use up.
- Sew something—we have a sewing machine, a serger, and lots of thread and notions.
- Print something on our 3D printer.
- Cut or engrave something on our laser cutter.
- Build electronics—we have a full bench with tools and parts. Or use the soldering iron to make a copper wire sculpture!
- Make some jewelry—we have pliers, beads, beading thread, findings.
- Make some food—we have a grill and a kitchen with all of the regular kitchen things.
If some of these tools sound fun but you don’t know how to use them, we’ll show you! If you’re already good at using them, come and show someone else!
Kids who want to build stuff (with their parents’ supervision) are extremely welcome.
Please let us know if you might make it so we can have a rough headcount. We’ll provide lunch and dinner.
